the 14" 4 x 100 wheels with offset similar to Gemini are E30, ~1985 to late late 91.
E36 saw an upgrade to 15" wheels standard, and all were 5stud to my knowledge. |

Early to mid 90s is E36, now i previously owned a 318i and i must inform you that it is 5stud.
Not sure what 4stud rims may have been fitted to, but most BMW wreckers laugh when you mention it.

I dont think the fuel pump is faulty, because when connected to a power supply it has absolutely no trouble flowing fuel to the carby. This also cancels out any blockage theories. Personally im pretty ... |

Hop a long - Checked the fuel filter, from what youve described i think its "wet" (the filter is 1/4 full of fuel)
Sneak - What type of wire do i use in place of the fuel pump resistor?

I know exactly what your talking about, ill give it ago tomorow. Wouldnt a constant 12v to the pump eventually fuck it? Im hopeless with wiring

By fuel pump capacity test you mean bridging the black/yellow and black/red wires where they go into the relay? done that, it seemed to fill up the carby VERY quickly, so i think thats ok.

forcd gem - engine is stock, problem is happening at idle not under acceleration. It starts and runs, but because there is no fuel coming through from the fuel pump it just shuts itself down.

I dont think the Nikki carbs have removable jets, so to change the jetting youd need to drill out the stock jets. These carbs are restrictive anyway, your better off using a 32/36 or a 34ADM webber.
