when in neutral, I lift my foot off the clutch and this mass grinding noise comes from inside the gearbox, is this the thrust bearing? or something else...??

You have to unbolt the tailshaft from the torque tube and then as the tube slides into the diff it just slides on out And you'll also have to undo the tube mounts aswell.. ** make sure not to repla ... |

Yeah they are the same, BUT the mounts that bolt the tube to the chassis underneath are different! On the sedans, the flap things are narrower, and on the wagon they are wider. I tried to put a sedan ... |
