At the moment im building a turbo 1600. What i have to go with it at the moment is custom steam pipe manifold, t25 turbo, supra intercooler, efi manifold, haltech f7 computer dont have the fuel system yet. For the motor its self I was planning on boring 40 thou, balanced, crossdrilled crank, lightened flywheel, heavily ported head, bigger exhaust valves, custom cam (not sure what yet). Stripped down ready to be sent to the builders to get the work done. Probably running around 10 psi till I can afford a better turbo.

My question is I can get my hands on a 1800 motor and it is fairly expensive would it make all that much more power? Would this be worth the extra money because im just gonna pull it apart and rebuild it any way? I could probably come up with the money but im not sure

Yes the 1800 would make more HP but your turbo may be a bit small, or you can bore the 1600 to about 120thou, and fit VL pistons, they are very tough and will also lower the compression,

Get a G200 oil pump as they flow more oil.

If I was in your shoes, I would buy a G200 straight away and not bother with the 1600. If you want to rebuild one, you should be able to buy a clagged one for less than $500.

Your T28 should be good for 10-14psi intercooled on a 2 litre.
