my fuel gauage used to read exactly half when i had a full tank, this annoyed me a bit so i took the gauges out to see if i could bend the needle, but that wasnt an option, so i went to the back and unscrewed the fuel sender and bent the float arm (bent the float up) and my fuel guage is accurate now,
it was easy and took about 10mins
just thought it might help others |

After having some work done on my fuel system I noticed that my guage constantly read full. I ended up fucking running out of fuel on the way home from picking up the car
When I got home I looked at the sender wires and what was happening was that when I screwed down the cover the sender was shorting out on the cover and reading the tank full. Replaced the insulation and she was fine. |
