i am almost finished rebuilding my g161...its my first rebuild. i too the canshaft out to get the head off and now i cant get it back in to the timing sprocket, the chain seems too short. i dont want to remove the chain or anything cos that would fuck it up but if anyone has any suggestions on how to get that fucker back on it would be much appreciated.

have you pushed the timing chain tensioner back in???
its the white/yellow thing next to the chain...u push it down and twist(carfully they snap) andthe the guide plate pushing againts the chain will move back in letting the chain go higher. just turn it back the other way once it is on and it will tighten up again. |
