question on engine, need advice desperatly

heres the deal, i've done searches and havint found what i need. i have 2 options:

1. modifiy internals of me reco'd 161, what should b done 2 the head and block? what r my options, roughly how much kw will i get out of it? without borin it 2 a 2lita. Rouugh prices any1, know of any good businesses in S.a that can do this?atm the 161 has extractors and a re-ground cam.

2. get a g180, leave it standard. Which would be bater in terms of power? do u need 2 get 180's engineered to go in a TG in S.A.

1800's are completely legal you just have to tell the registration place that you have put it in.

I have a 1600 with 32/36 webber, rebored 60 thou over, fully balanced, ported big valve head, lumpy cam, extractors & 2 inch Exhaust, lightened fly wheel, heavy duty clutch. This went quite well and if its your first car I think you will be very happy with the end results with something like this.

what sota power did u get out of it, what cars have u beaten on the street, so what do u think would go beta, modded 1600 or 1800?

modded 180 with a 161 head on it

yeh just rung up just gemi n holden spares, theyr sellin long 1800's 4 450, sohc, just gotta whack on your 1600 head thats pretty good, i was startin 2 think he was a ripoff afta he said they sell g180 dohc efi 4 2500 minus computer.

$2500 for just the g180 dohc engine or was that complete with box and injection setup?

Wow, thats pretty pricey.

I bought a whole car with newish suspension and nice wheels/tyres with a 2l dohc complete for 2k, I was feeling a bit ripped off at that but not so much now.

Umm.. I found a steering wheel and 2 amps under the seat of my car when I bought it.

haha, not to mention the dudes credit card statement, which was jammed up inside the door trim to stop it rattling.

aamps fit easy under gem seats, bayce had one under the driver seat of her coupe

Well see my gem has 2 seats !

2 amps can fit under a seat, especially if they are both small amps.

The wheel was under the other seat.
