if i put a 2.3 rodeo in the coupe what will i have to do to the clutch to make it cope??? any ideas. also if i lower the coupe 2.5 - 3 inches will i need an adjustable panhard rod???

Yes, any time you lower a gemini by a fair amount you need to get an adjustable panhard rod. As far as the clutch goes, you should be right if you fit a heavy duty clutch at the same time as the motor. Also, try and fit a new clutch cable at the same time, makes it easier than trying to do it after the fact. Cheers |

Just thinking (yes its hurting).... I pulled out some lowered pedders springs and the shocks to go with it and put them in my gem but never touched the panhard rod... would this be the cause of a knocking sound over bumps these days? What would the side affects of not adjusting the panhard rod for a lower ride height be? Still seems to handle fine, goes around queensland raceway withouth a problem (cept for big clumbsy V8's holding me up in corners). |
