I'm close to buying an EFI engine, but I'll need to get a new pump and a surge tank.
What pumps and set up's do people recommend?
Run the normal pump to surge tank in engine bay using stock fuel lines, then EFI pump that via EFI fuel lines to the engine?
Camira and VL fuel pumps seem to be what most people recommend, the engine is approx 160hp I've been told.
If anyone has any information I'll need to know, that'd be sweet, or if what I propose to do would be correct, I need to know
Thanks

Camira/astra/NA VL pumps all support over 300hp. The easiest is to run the standard gem pump on 12v to a surge tank, and then the surge tank to efi pump, running through standard steel fuel lines, but replacing all the rubber sections with efi hose. The return line doesn't matter as its low pressure still.

you dont need to run a surge tank as the fuel tank is already standing up right behing the back seat (matt sprys has recorded a PB od 10.4 without a surge tank) |

yeah cos he is only going in a straight line. one the road corners makes the fule move side to side in the tank and can cause the pic up not to get any fuel, where as if u have a surge tank that wont happen _________________
