Does anyone know of any sites relating to Rear-wheel to fly-wheel kilowatt conversions? Someone told me once that it was 50%, but that sounds like too much to me. Also, it would be different for different cars would it not?? |

Thats fine, but what I want to know is rear wheel kilowatts to flywheel kilowatts. Like, to calculate the drag thru the driveline? |

in english it means that 1 killwatt is 1.34 horses.
so a 100kw car is 134hp
but yeah u will lose bout 30% down the drive line |

An engineer once told me that a rough way 2 figure out horsepower at da rears is - KW at da fly = HP at da rears. ie; 300KW new GTS has 300HP at the wheels - or approx that. I dont know how much truth there is 2 it, but when someone like an engineer tells u something u kinda accept they know what they're on about.

which is basically a 30% loss (a bit less that that), but 30% is a nice conservative number that should more likely be over the figure than under |
