how safe do you all think it would be to get the stud holes welded up and new holes drilled in a set of commadore sle rims? |

not legal, welding will harden the rim around where u redrill it which makes them a whole lot weaker.
there is reasons for these rules ppl imaging going along at 100km hitting a pot hols and having a rim come off :s.
ur allowed circumfrance welds on rims but nothing else, |

Got it done, expensive to say the least, they weld a ring around the outside of the gemi end, as the gemi end is too small, then weld over the holes machine and restud it, You also can't shorten a commo axle as there isnt enough metal around the splined ends, you could shorten a set of v8 axles from a commo, cost bout the same too, round the $400 mark, hope that helps you, why you doin it anyways??? Just for the rims??? |

hes asking about welding up holes in the rims not on the axels. or discs. |
