|
|
G'day,
Soon i'm gonna get a CD player and new speakers for my 82 TF Gem.. But i want to keep it in stock condition, like i don't wanna cut holes in the doors to put speakers in.. Is it possible to put reasonably good speakers under the original ducts in the dash and at the back behind the back seat? I could probably put a sub in there or in the boot instead. Would i get any reasonable speakers that i could fit under there? What other places can i put speakers without having to cut holes in the doors etc..
Cheers. (i'm a newbie big time so be nice) |

i cant see u get speakers in with out cuting holes.
maybe if u bought or mad some fiberglass door pods and parcel tray pods u could get away with a few small screw holes.
hmmm. difficalt task there
maybe in the kick pannels. make some up and put speakers in there and then when u want u can pul them out and put the original kick pannels back in? _________________

or you could just make a crappy box and mount 2 speakers on the back parcel shelf - least you wont need to cut anything up...
or you can goto hte wreckers and buy some new door skinny things and keep your old ones for laterr? its upto you |

take the back seat out and put 4 18" subs in.

Ta, thanks everyone.
Two questions:
What is a kick panel? (told you i was newb)
And, are door skins easy to come by? What are they aswell? Just the inner-covers of the doors? |
