sl/e racing will fit and siply a hylux or common-whore diff for $2000-$2500
aussie diff shop can fit a early commodore LSD center to the gemini diff for around $600
this is only good for less than 150rwhp
OR
you could throw a handfull of bolts in the daff and hope for the best LOL _________________

don't worry about it i found SL race fabrications
they are in Browns Plains and will do a hilux diff conversion for $2200-$2500 and it will take them around 1 week to complete |

cheapest easyest way out is a CIG locker (arc welder). but its a cunt to drive. and keep a few spare axles handy |

how is it cheaper??
when u crash into a BMW and your insurance is void cos u have an illgal mod and u have to pay off a wrecked BMW. i think i would rather pay $2500 than $60000.
and if your insurance company are ass holes and the acco wasnt your fault u could still even be made to pay cos the car is defective and shouldnt have been on the road in the 1st place _________________

extactly a hilux diff will handle any sort of power
so it's money well spent |

I scored a VL-T diff in perfect condition with 3.97 diff gears, with disc brakes, for $200
cost about $300 to put in a gemini housing

Would an insurance company actually delve that far into your car ?? Obviously they'd look at typicals like lowering, pollution gear, safety apparatus' etc...
I mean, a clued up mechanic can tell by spinning the wheels while its up on a hoist, but an ordinary mechanic prolly wouldn't notice as it'd be one of the last things he either look for or spot.
Are they that full-on that they'd take your diff cover off and have a peek ???? |
