i was bored 2day so i decided too put JIMS 1600 head onto my G200...
Nearly finished. all i had too do was put 2 little bolts near the timing chain...
and guess wat... i dropped 1 down the hole, i heard it hit the oil sump,
the 1st thing i could think off doing was swearing
than the 2nd go down too super cheep and get an extendable magnet which only cost 3 buks.
but unfortunaltly i couldnt get the bugger out
so i just found another bolt too suit and hoped the other one wont cause problems...
wat do u guys think?? |

the little bolt shouldnt matter, but if its small enough, u mite be lucky if it falls out wen u do ur net oil change. if not, try ur little magnetic thingo with the oil drained.... |

Yeh gene i know that the 1600 head doesnt suit a turbo,
but Its just that ive gotta make a few mods too this piazza manifold because the t03 sits too close too the engine mounts and im worried about the rubber melting, so that might take a while too do, and also other bits and pieces that i will have too put more thought into too make this setup safe and reliable, i really dont want too rush myself anymore too get it complete or something will go wrong, thats wat im afraid off
but in the mean time, i thought that id just fiddle around with working the engine with different parts only because of a few reasons, mainly cos i havent done it before so im pretty interested too gather this experience 'and' ive only got 1point on my licence left untill the 5th off December
so yeh.... |

I did the same thing to my old motor I just left it. About 6 months later when I stripped it down to rebuid I found the bolt it was absolutely crushed. I would get it out as soon as possible. |

if it fell all the way into the sump it wont be a problem. have had one in my commadores sump for years now. but if it isnt all the way down get it out. wont take much at all for it to fuck things up |
