After reading up in my Gregory's manual, I decided I didn't have the knowledge required to pull my head and timing cover off to get to the problem, so after a fair bit of trial and error, I pieced my broken chain tensioner back together with bits and pieces I found in the yard. It seemed to work pretty well, but I've got a rattle coming back so I'm not sure how it's going. I'm going to pull the rocker cover off this weekend and have another look. When I can get some money togeher, I might have a mechanic fix it up for me.
