hi, my new te has some serious blow by, wat causes this?
and the car has had a new radiator support panel put in, and it has no body number on it, the plate is still on the engine bay, so do i need the number on the support panel for roadworthy or not? apparently its as easy as getting the mechanic to stamp the body number on the panel? |

Blow by is caused by compressed air getting past the piston rings, pressurising the oil in the sump. As such, the oil looks for somewhere to go, and its usually out of the breather on your cam cover. Id recomend disconnecting the breather from the air filter as oil in the carby isnt exactly gr8.
Its usually caused by worn/shattered rings. to test this get you car compression tested. Sorry bout the long post, hope this helps.
