Ok I just got one today after going to the gemini meet. Few questions though. The whole carby is compleate except for the Air corrector jet in the primary barral. Is there suppose to be one? The thread is heaps bigger on the primary side than the secondary side for the screw? Any one know whats going on here? Also what jets do I run? I have a worked G180 out 60 thou with stage 3 cam, extractors and stage 2 Cam, Big valve head and port and polish... Umm oh thats rite!

The automatic choke. I wanna use it but how? It's an electronic item but how does it work and how can I hook it up to gemini wiring? I have a 32/36 weber on there atm so i dont need to know about the adpter plate and therefore.

There seems to be an idle circut that bumps up the idle for air con too? Should I just block that hose off?

The carby is great and I have to put a kit through it so if someone could maybe shed some more lite on these questions it'd be great.

Cheers guys

i posted this ages ago in regards to the 34ADM

when i had my motor built, 2l+40thou, Bob Sherry head flowing 160hp+, similar cam blah blah blah, i did a bit of research as to carbies. i only had about 300 bucks left to spend.

the 38 webber from the v6 capri was around $750 (they r rare here) rebuilt but was he best choice for the engine size. a bit out of my price range.

the 350 was calculated to be too big for my motr as the cam produced peak power at 5500 and to get the full benefit from the holley it needed to be spinning to 8000rpm! peak power up top wil reduce ur drivability down low.

The 32/36 was ok til about 4000rpm but ran out of puff after this mark.

The only option left in the cheap downdraught market, using the gemi manifold was the 34ADM. Had it rebuilt, jetted to suit all the bullshit. all up cost was 275 for the rebuilt and 40 bucks for the carb 2nd hand.

The only thing was the fuel shut off solenoid was 80 bucks extra after that aswell. Coz she was running on a tad without it, try for like 5 seconds. It was starving for fuel but i took the resistor off the fuel pump and this seems to have solved it. I;d hit 4500 or so in 2nd and it would die in the ass. Now i have no probs. Its pretty responsive down low and drives well, cold starts are ok seeing as i how we removed the choke crap off the back of it.

Use the 32/36 adaptor plate - its casting is crap so Bob Sherry had to port it to match the barrels of the carb and manifold. However i'd advise having this done anyway. you need to lengthen your studs due to the thicker base of the adm.

cheers
