Hey
I was just wondering, how the hell do you read the tire numbers? eg: 225/55x16 i know 16 is for 16", but the rest?

225 is the width in mm
55 is the profile (wall height) which is a percentage of width, so 225/55 means 225 wide and wall height is 55% of 255 which is 123mm.
and 16 is diameter as you know |

whats the last bit after the "195/65/14" a few centermetres past this it says "89h" or "87h" wats this mean?

It's probably the old tyre code that was used before the 195/65/14 style came in. A lot of tyres stil have the old and new style codes on it. It also could be the speed rating of the tyre. |
