Wow. What a day it was. With 10 cars at the meet, things were looking good. Unfortunately, a few had to leave early, mainly due to sickness. I got a little worried when the cops came along, but, thankfully, they drove past and didnt have anything to say. We headed off from riverside drive and got onto Great Eastern pretty easily. Unfortunately, I missed the turn off and took a few cars with me, but we all regrouped pretty quick. A short stop at Kalamunda brang along Phil, fresh from work. Once again, we headed off and got to the roleystone shops without drama. While everyone was buying some food, I quickly went home for cooking utensils and some stockies. We quickly changed the map to do a fuel run, and then headed out to Canning Dam. Some beers snags and stories were had by all, then tyres were changed in anticipation of the end of the day. Some small burnouts were done, but most wanted to keep enough tread for later. We had to make another stop at a servo to get some air into the tyres (my fault) and Joey needed some quick fixing of his car. We got down to the pad without incident and the fun started. Phil got a little over-excited and ripped a smokey burnout early, but too quick for anypne to catch. We sorted out who was doing what and when, and each took turns in killing some rubber. I managed to seriously overheat the wagon, but not enough to kill it. Joey had the funny episode of stopping his burnout, then, just as he was getting out, the tyre finally popped. Aaron killed two in VERY nice LSD style, including the crabwalk and all. While some of us were changing tyres, Phil decided to put us all to shame. He whacked on the special tyre and gave it a caining. Getting off to a smokey start, he needed to be reminded that a non-static burnout worked much better, and he started to crawl along. Smoke filled the area, and his car was out of sight. He managed at least a 100m skid, which will be there for a while. Well done Phil. Well done to all.
Thank you to everyone who attended, even if you only made it to the meet. Hope to see you all there next time.
Upcoming Events include the Coastals re-run which will now be on once a month where there are no other cruises. The next is expected around the end of October. I'm working on getting a day out at Beverly Burnout pad, where we can feel safer about the area we are doing it. Narrogin Rev Heads Day is coming up mid-november, and there WILL be a cruise to that. Check www.revheadsday.com for all the info on the w/end.
I have 32 pics from the cruise and will work on putting them on the net, but no promises for it been soon.
Hope you all had fun, and again, thanks for all your support.

It was a pretty good cruise. I fucking hit a kangaroo on the way home which sorta ruined it a bit but I was pretty proud of that burnout ehh! |

You hit a roo, Phil? Fark! Yeah, you gotta watch out for 'em in the bush. I almost hit this big bloody Samoyed standing stock still in the middle of the left lane on Brookton Highway. Stupid mutt didn't move until I honked the horn at it.
This was of course, as you guys probably noticed, after I turned 180 after heading 5ks up Brookton Highway in the WRONG DIRECTION....
