Just a question about 5spd thrust bearing. Is there a specific side of the bearing that should be facing the pressure plate??? Might sound like a dumb question but just wondering. |

The side that spins!! It will otherwise make a horrendous squeal if the thing actually engages while in the wrong way round.
(Hmmm... maybe that's what the sound is when I engage my clutch)
No seriously are you meaning you are replacing the clutch release bearing onto the bearing carrier?
It should be obvious really. One side has a face that looks like it should mate up to the pressure plate spring fingers and the other side doesn't. The side with the face that looks like it should contact the pressure plate spring should be facing away from the carrier when it's pressed on.
