does this also happen the the hazzard lights???

if not it, sounds like your flasher can is fkd, but you can quick fix and swap cans with the hazard unit if they are the same...

see how you go..
cheers

under the dash, TE above the clutch pedal there should be 2 round metal cans... like mini coke cans with the plugs pointing down you will need a 8m spanner and monkey fingers to change.. TF TG not quite sure where they are but prob still same spot.

cheers

Under the dash to the left side of the steering wheel.
My car had the same problem when i bought it, i drove it straight to Cheapa Auto, had a gander in their Gregory's manual to find the wiring diagram, bought a new one and instaled it there. Drove home, and forgot it ever happened until you just brought it up. hehehe Funny how things like that happen.
It is most likely a cylindrical item that will stand out when you poke your head under there.

To anybody else who has this problem. The cans in a TE (TX and TD are probably the same but not sure) are located Just left of the steering column under the dash in easy reach, in a TF-TG they are located right up under the dash close to the back of the instrument binnacle. If the blinkers do not work at all try changing the horn and clock fuses.

It cant be an earth because most new cans have a plastic outer shell.
