hey guys, I have overheating problem on a pretty much stocko 1600. Ive replaced the water pump flushed the system radiator ect and removed the thermostat(the top at least). And still creeps up 130degc. Have you heard of or know about the possiblility of the bottom of the thermostat rusting away flowing through and blocking the rear end water jackets. The car uses no water and has good waterflow through the radiator so water must be getting through the front ok. The radiator is relativly new and the water remains clean. Head gasket is ok. What could possibly be making it overheat? I'm at witts end. Could anyone please help me out? |

Try using a radiator flush and also you could try changing the temp sensor. |

and you should keep the thermostat in
alos the last thing you can do is get the block pressure flushed if its still hot then stuffed if i know
but replace the temp sensor first might be a cheeper fix
when it gets this hot have you felt the cap on the radiator is it really hot and can you smell collant? |

as gvoov3 said you need to kepp your thermostat in. It allows water to stay in the radiator a little longer and making it a little colder. |
