The Van Council of South Aust ( newly formed, almost incorparated ) are having our first cruise on the 20th Dec 2003. All vans welcome. I'm the only gem van so a few more would be cool. Good bunch of people, some very cool van's, including Hayden's national award winning XC palcun. More details to follow after Sun's meeting at the Southwark Hotel, Port Rd, Thebarton, 5.30 pm, new people always welcome.

OK, the club is open to all types of vans, xcept campers, work couriers and the like. Holdens, Fords, Bedfords, Gems, Escorts, Kombis,Val's all ok, from memory. Search Cruisers Van Club for pics of prety much all of the vans in the club. At the moment our meetings are the first Sun of every month at the Southwark Hotel at about 5.30pm. We had a short cruise Sun 7th through the Bay and to Hungrys' Along Anzac's was cool turning a few heads with 6 cool looking pano's cruising. The club will be official in January, membership will be about $25 a year. Due to "insurance, liability costs" we arn't having "driving events or shows" at the moment, just driving the same direction to the same location, obeying all road rules. Smile Like everyone does all the time.Smile BBQ,s all that stuff. Hope this helps, come along to the M'Ville car park on the 20th and say G'Day. Like I always say all welcome.

Well..... It is a group of van's that are going in the same direction to the same destination. There are a couple of vans with side windows that will be there. Don't think there would be a problem if you tagged along. You should get some side panels, heaps cooler than a wagon, and the ladies LOVE THEM !!! lol Do you have the yellow TE that I see cruising the espy all the time?

It's not hard to do the side panels. The ones I put in had steel plates approx. 40x20 mm attached to them using the 6 screw sites in the panels. I then screwed the plates to the lip of the window, siliconed the inside edge of the panel for waterproof. Some ppl use a whole sheet of steel cut out to fill the window then attach the panel to that. I haven't had a problem so far the way I did them. I did it bymyself in less than an arvo.
