mother of all FUKUPS

So as you do your driving along and then you start to hear this lil ching ching ching noise from the engine so you take the rocket cover to to have a looksee and find out the that steel brackets thats pushed up against the timing chain is sitting on a slant, FUK how do you fix this one. so you go down to the wreckers and get yourself a second hand bracket. your all happy becuase it only costs you $10.00. so you come home all happy lookin foward to putting it in. so your in the workshop about to take the cam cover off you start undoing the bolts you get al the bolts undone take off all the pullys hoses etc. you think ripper should just slide of WRONG. imagine the cover sitting half hout with the top of it sitting about 5mm above the head what do you do now?? that and you think ripper mayswell take the head off so you start undoing the allen key bolts only to find that the very last one has been rounded out. FUK yet again so you jump on the spot for a lil while. before saying FUKIT and going inside.

the question is how do i get the cam cover off and what the fuk do i do about the rounded off allen bolt?? ne ideas would be mucly appreciated and no answers to do with a griner thanx:D

u can buy a tool to take them out, but it fucks the head stud as its called (allen key bolt that undoes the head) its alot of fucking round, you have to drill the stud, then place in this tool, from memory it looks like an allen key with a screw on the end, but not 100% sure, u can buy them from supercheap and places like that, its alot of fucking round but u can get the bold out with out cutting it off and having to try get it out after you get the head off

Either that or get someone to weld another bolt head on top of that bolt.

FFS! its not a ROCKET cover. It covers the........ ROCKERS. and, as such, is called a........ yes, you guessed it, ROCKER cover. Carn people....

Neways, yes to multi grips, try for the weld a bolt upon the top, though watch for spray gettin on cam and the like, left hand drill bit could work as well, but thats a bit of fucking round with.

i had the same problem got a socket and a hammer and hit it on worked fine but you loss a socket can not rember what size i used but make sure it is a tight fit
