Jay
just a note,
may pay to help on your location and what power/you intend to do with the car,
there are many motors that can be placed in a Gemini, |

hmmm,
well G180 and G200 DOHC motors fit straight in,
Piazza's as well,
Rodeo 2.6L,
many Nissan and Toyota Motors have found there way in, thats where money comes into play, |

well if you think,
i sggest that you EFI turbo the motor you have in ya gem with a decent rebuild to suit, and a nice size turbo, say a T3 off a VL or T28 (200SX)
good clutch, resonable computer, etc
"just a suggestion" |

keep saving mate, keep saving. Piazza motors don't bolt straight in, do they?? I thought they needed new mounts, oh well im prolly wrong.
Back to your $3k, if you want to change to a turbo engine, (such as a turbo'd g160, g180, g200, rodeo 2.6 or piazza, or an SR20det, FJ20det, CA18det) then look at spending at LEAST $5k. You can just work the shit out of your stock 1.6 or change to a 1.8 with relative ease and just work the shit out of it, twin webers etc, up the compression etc. |

Read my other post dude, 3k wont cover it. You do have a good start with the 2lt, i suggest working the hell out of that engine, like upping the compression etc, unless you can spend like 5-6k on the engine instead of 3k. |

um well i cant really forward you too a shop directly,
but you have to be sure what motor you have in there,
go to a shop tell them you want this and work it ot, see how long they take, and how much, or say a i want reliable 150 - 200hp package drive in, drive away???? Suggestion!!
get quotes, what about brakes and suspension as well?
the list goes on........... |

lol you crazy kid, your block is fine! use the g200 you have, they are good engines, better than a stock gemi one, get a fair bit of power out of it mate. Just got to any engine rebuilder and tell him you want a full rebuild to up the compression. |

Hehe, nah i was driving home one day and heard a clunk and was running on 3 cylinders and instead of oil i had milkshake coming out of the oil filler cap so i pulled it apart thinking/hoping it might be the headgasket and found a giant hole in the side of the block...screwed _________________ Formally known as LOK15 on this forum
