This was originally for a tc td gemini but should apply to all.
1. Raise vehicle & support on jack stands.
2. Release the handbrake all the way.
3. Remove the adjusting nut from the tensioner rod remove the cable from the tensioner and equaliser.
4. Remove the passenger seat via the 4 retaining nuts. Move the seat forward all the way to reach front nuts and vice versa to reach rears.
5. Remove the 2 screws holding the handbrake cover and slide the cover to the rear and then manoeuvre it over the handbrake lever.
6. Remove the 2 handbrake retaining bolts on the left hand side of the tunnel.
7. Disconnect the handbrake warning switch and remove assembly from vehicle.
ITEMS 1-5 ARE FOR THOSE PEOPLE ONLY WANTING TO CHANGE HANDBRAKE COVERS

Why in fucks name would you want to reomove the handbrake FFS? I defies logic, you can't leagally drive the car on the road and how in hells name are ya gonna do hand break turns!?
(Adam says: I think you'll find this is only designed for temporary removal, such as for repairs/mods...) |
