that combo and result is great, but i think the 9 inch diff is over kill try a commodore diff. i think youll have a hard time brakeing that with 200BHP the 9 inchr is to heavy & will only slow you down. |

How much, as an estimate would you say youve spent? And how much time did it take you to put together? |

i guess no change out of $5000 for the engine, reco diesel 5pd with hhd bearing and new syncro's $900,
It's been about 2 years on and off the road, and I drove from Melb to Perth and back in it, but it's been fun. |

Yeah I hope the 9 inch won't break. I broke the gem's diff last night, I already own a Special diff, it's spec's are:
Gemini diff tubes, Piazza disk brakes, ford 9 inch centre, new LSD 3.9/1 gears. and does not require mods to the Gem floor to fit, I just have to take it out of my PV Gem, The commodore diff you talk about would probably have been cheaper, but I got this made about 5 yrs ago and at a special cheap rate, |

GT25 was straight from the box, no flow benching, or high flow, just straight out of the box, Ball bearing GT25,
about $1600, in perth, at the time,

Sorry my mistake. I didnt quite ask the right question. There are several different HP rated GT25's and 28's etc.
I think in the GT25 there is a 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, and 550HP versions. Do you know which one yours was? Given the price sounds like a 300 or 350.
Do you happen to have the serial no. or something? Im very interested as I will be buying a GT25 or 28 aswell.

Fairly similar to yours. 1600 about 0.150" overbore, forgies, major head work, o-rings, piazza injection, etc. Just need a good turbo now and a good intercooler.
I want to do an easy 12sec 1/4. hopefully around 200 at the wheels. |
