Go and get yourself either a CAMS manual, or at least the CAMS requirements for the genre of motor racing that you've chosen.
I can help you out with requirements for Super Sprints and Hillclimbs - they're pretty basic.
Long sleeves, closed shoes and an appropriate helmet - nothing old or with scratches.
The car must be in good repair and have:
Fire extinguisher
Good belts
No loose objects (duh)
oil breather catch tank (a tube and a coke bottle does ok)
battery clamp
No oiliness or grottiness in engine bay or CAMS scruitineers crack the shits
I can't think of anything else, but I'm sure there's something else. Go find out or something.
My car usually gets through scruitineering OK, but because it's a Gemini, it gets picked on. MG drivers don't have that much trouble - and a Gemini has 10 times the build quality of any MG!!! |
