ive noticed in the trading post lately 2 pack and baked enamel resprays advertised at cheap prices ($200- $700) so i was wondering if it was worth my while getting it done by them and has anyone else ever got one of these cheap resprays. how was the end result? |

As a panel beater and spray painter myself, I have heard of these deals , and in geelong where I am theres are a few guys doing it , basically all i can say is you are getting what you are paying for, from a distance they look neat, if you do all the prep work yourself and get the body pretty straight ,they can be ok, but why go too all that effort then they do a dodgey job, 2pac Paint with primer costs like $400 at least alone. It basically depends on what you want the finish product too look like. |

Im working on my dads porsche now and he is spraying it black a new design paint actually 3pack and it costs a shitloads, i have been working on that car for about 6months now. Anyways the thing with black any colour black including flat black , shows up the ripples and Panel work sooo much, worst colour to work with in my view. But i can understand about tight budgets and shit, just get the panels as straight as possible and buy sum cheap enamel possibly urethane (really thick shit) which comes in flat i think and give it a few coats , will cover all the repairs quiet well. |
