How hard is it to put front and read Tg light on a coupe and how hard is it to put in a holden 202 blue engine in one

I'll hazard a guess and say that it would be a pretty difficult fit. But the hardest part would be to make it legal. Wouldn't be worth it in my opionion. It would stuff the handling too, with all that weight.

the tg front would envolve a compleate swap inc guards inner guard all da bits like radiator suport and forget da 202 its not worth the hassle a worked g200 is the best and eaiser alternative (go's harder)

There was a stocky-looking TE sedan with a 202 in it - in perfect original condition, it was the ultimate sleeper and went well down the drags.

But it does involve serious, seroius amounts of cutting of the firewall, and would be hard to get legal. As for understeer - you want it? You'll have it!

Like they said, a G200 goes pretty fast when worked and will bolt straight in. If you really need a six, then a V6 would be the way to go. There are a few Geminis getting around with VN-onwards V6s in them - the VS Ecotec is perhaps the best, using the least fuel and having the most power. And they can be supercharged fairly economically.

Nissan SR20 would also be pretty good, if you want a four cylinder. The Isuzu DOHC goes bananas, but parts can be hard to find.

havn't noticed my dohc sprouting any banana tree's but i'll keep an eye out...

(and yes it does go hard, can't wait to do something silly to it like a turbo or what have you.. Wink

Front tg fitment is pretty much a bolt on. Only hard mod is that you have to cut and weld the bumper bar support crossmember out of a tg into the tx.
Rear tg fitment involves getting a beaver panel from a wreckers and cutting and welding it into the tx. Unless your a panel beater its a pain in the arse.
202s fit in fairly easy if you use an auto. Use the gemini stall on a 202 flex plate, bolt it up to the gemini auto, engine mounts involve minor modifications but come pretty close to bolting straight up without any firewall modifications etc, but you have to modify the front radiator support panel to put the radiator further forward, leaving no room for a fan so you put athermo on the front. Works well for a skidbus/drag car, works shit for handling.

my mate's dad built a coupe race car in the early 80's for circuit work that had a xu-1 motor in it. it was a total fabrication exercise. the rear of the motor sat right where the radio goes and it had a custom chassis under it. she handled well cause the firewall was cut and the motor moved back so it was more centrally mounted. it was quick for the time but now with advances in small motor techology it would be a waste of time. slap a standard 13b in it and laugh at the worked g161's and g200's as u smoke them away.
