Where can I find some Gilmer Drive Belts (I live in the A.C.T.). I've heard that they sound like straight cut gears. Around what price are they and how easy are they to fit?

While I realise its not really local, Redcliffe Dyno and Performance in qld sell them for $250 for all 3 gears and the belt. They are good quality alloy, and the tighter you do up the belt, the louder the whistle gets.
Redcliffe dyno and Performance advertise in fast fours magazine etc, and do cash on delivery through the post.
Call (07) 3284 1925, and ask for steve.

Hey, I didnt say it was a good idea to tighten it up too much. There is a certain amount of "common" sense involved.
My belts have always been tight and i have never had any dramas with bent waterpump shafts. If they are run too tight, the belt strips its teeth off, and this happens way before bent waterpump shafts. At $40 a belt and it takes a couple of days to come up from melbourne to brizzy, you have to use common sense and not overtighten it.

Trust me when I say my comment was 100% tongue-in-cheek.
