Hey dudes,
To my dismay the other day, i realised that the headlights on my TE (Any most other Te's) are sealed beam!!?? Now, i'm lookin to put some of those optic blue halogen bulbs in, is there any way this can be done with my headlights?? Do I have to get new headlights? Can I get a "semi sealed" or non sealed headlight that will fit? Thanks guys
Jus

Semi sealed beams are available new and second hand. Theyre the same ones as from a rodeo or hilux etc (not sure the years) they'll take the halogen inserts and your beams will no longer be like yellow candles!
Try some wreckers, because new Hella assemblys are reasonably steep.

OK, out with the trusty catalogues.
Pretty common sized headlight, 200mm x 142mm.
Hella p/n 1043 (single).
Narva also now do that conversion as a kit, around $100 or so.
Hansa have two in their range, Hansa branded and Kioto branded. Both available as single units for around $40ea for the cheaper. These also have the park light facility in them **(for those who smoke their front parkers).

One tip though, if you put in globes any bigger than 60/55W, get a headlight relay installed. Saves your wiring, headlight switch and fuse panel from eventually "SSSMOKEN".

** i didnt say that by the way

Hope this helps,
Yonnee
