Can be, there are a couple of chrome air cleaner assemblies available to suit the 80mm neck of the nikki carby.
OR
You can use the original air filter assembly if you're prepared to modify it. Either get a hole saw and drill holes all the way around the side, or take the angle grinder to the bottom half and cut the sides completely off, leaving the base and top to sandwich the filter element. If you want more air flow, I'm fairly sure K&N do an element for the Gem's standard replacement. Can get details if you want.

street machine magazine did a 202 blue motor build up a while ago. by merely removing the airfilter (same style as agemi) they picked up 14hp! thats what? about 9kw?
not bad for no work! i don;t think this would reap as mucha result n the gem but even half that is good!
cheers

I just cut the sides off with an angle grinder and wacked a K@N in there. I also painted it silver with a can I had laying around. Cost me nothing ('cept the filter ) and looks good! Got a small increase in power, quite small, fair bit louder though ) |
