a few people have been talking turbo setups on there cars to play around with...well after spending $400 of a complete suck thru setup with a turbo that had just had new bearing and seals (yes u read right ,bloody cheap)...i thought id tell u about what fun im having. after driving the guts out of it for a week at 8 psi boots ,it has started to miss down low till about 2500 rpm and puffs of smoke. I thought it may have been a head gasket so i got all the bits i needed pulled it apart put it back together and guess what???
still has the misses and still smokes....broken rings im guessing..
maybe putting a turbo on a standard (was rebuilt about 6 months ago) motor isnt a good idea..

Have you sorted you fuel mixtures and ignition timing out?

How much total timing are you running?

What about a/f ratio?

You can still blow a motor at 8psi if these are too far out.

Is it possible that you have started to draw oil through the compressors seal when at low rpm, and then after booting it, the engine stumbles as it tries to burn all of the oil?

A good way to check if it is the rings is to check the amout of air being blow out of the crankcase when idling, try removing the oil cap.

Another way would be to stick the standard carb on and take it for a spin. This would eliminate the compressor seal if it was leaking.

i have a programable ignition its set for max advance of 25 deg but also has a boost retard dropping back to 7 deg under boost....no ping..im not 100% with the fuel mixture..but i dont think its too far out....the breather pipe ,its like a hi pressure oil blaster and i think thats where the oil smoke comes from coz its plumbed into the carb.....thats how come i know its a ring and coz i just changed the head gasket i know its not a broken pistion (on top anyway)

but thank you for your sugestions anyway.

They often crack pistons around the main oil ring land above the gudgeon, but they normally need to be pinging or something.
