This might be a stupid question but
would i be right in thinking that i am gonna get louder bass if my sub box is sitting on the bare metal of the boot than where it is now, which is sitting on a thick layer of foam which lies flat across the boot...
the idea of this foam is to block out alot of the exhaust noise (and it does) that comes through the resonating boot
any ideas? |

The foam won't make any difference in how loud the sub will go if anything removing it will make it sound worse because if the foam is reducing exhaust noise then the sub and the rest of the system will have to work harder to drown it out the extra noise.
