after a few weeks of searching around the web i managed to get in contact with a japanese guy through one of the clubs who has been able to correspond with me by using online translators (he can read it but not write it) ah the joys of the internet.
The club that they have is specifically for gemini's of the dohc kind, namely ZZR and ZZT's of various sizes and shapes.
Anyway the best bit of information i have been able to get from him is the factory specification for the power output (at the flywheel) of the g180.
According to this document which lists a few of the different Isuzu motors for comparisons sake the G180 puts out 130hp at 6400 RPM!
Not bloody bad for an 18 year old donk!! |

Isuzu kick ass!
Hell finding information on the internet is like pulling teeth! If it's not the common thing then it's an impossibility to find.
Let us know if you find out any more info (like what the Japanese boys get up to modifying these puppies!)
The G180WA is my current choice of engine transplant (if it ever eventuates). I'm glad the G180 puts out that sorta power though, seems to be identical to the G200W.
This link has some good info on Isuzu motors:
