Is there any difference between sedan rear springs & wagon/van rear springs?

If so, what would happen if you used sedan springs in a van?

Wagon/van springs are stiffer, very slightly shorter and the right spring is longer than the left. I could be wrong but there is a height difference which causes one side of the car to ride higher than the other.

Using sedan rear springs may soften the ride and affect the balance. You might want to just find another set of wagon springs or get some Pedders or something.

I thought van/wagon springs might be longer because it would be expected that they'd be carrying heavier loads.

I've noticed that they seem to ride higher on one side too.
Wouldn't softer be better? eg more traction on launch etc.
