Been to Malaysia for work, but took some time off to look around their 'chop shops' for early gemini tachos clusters. No luck unfortunately. In the 20 or so odd years since the gemini, the market has been totally flooded(the Malaysians love their cars) and displaced/diluted out any easily available sources of parts for them. They must be around somewhere tho'. Have some contacts with ears to ground now )
Geminis were used as taxis over there, so there must have been quite a few of them.
The oldest cars I saw on the rd were 3 geminis (a TX/TC coupe, a TD and a TF -all in bad bad shape) and 3 120Y's and a mini or two. Nearly everyone seems to drive a Proton of some desciption. I want a Satria GTI! |

the reason that everyone drives a proton, is that the government puts huge duties on all imported cars, so the protons are way cheaper |

Kinda like Athens, but they still using Tx's as taxis. After being away from gems for so long i was hanging to get in one but its so bloody hard to get any taxi driver there to drive you where you want. Fucked up system, sort of thing you need to experience to believe it - they will only drive you where they want to go. Go figure, And it really didnt help being a skip. |
