Just read the new Wheels magazine where they compared a HSV 300kw Monaro coup'e to a brand new R34 GT-R V-spec II N1 Skyline.
Power?
HSV rated at 300kw = 230kw at the wheels.
GT-R rated at 206kw = 214kw at the wheels.
Which means that the GT-R actually has about 290kw or so. Yeah, I know that everyone knows that the GT-R's have never had only 206kw, it's just nice to see it proved. |

i've seen this too. didn't they race and the nismo shat all over the hsv on the 1/4? (beat it by more than .5sec) but i guess it's got power at all 4 paws though!

| You'll probably find that most jap cars have and underated power output rating. The new Spec-S S15 is rated at 147 flywheel killowatts, and it was measured at 154 rwkw! |

| Don't get me wrong, I know that, but there's not much people who have prven how much power they have in standard tune. By the way, the Aussie Spec-S is rated at 147 kws, but it's the Jap spec Silvia that has about 150kw at the wheels. Just FYI |

| The Jap Spec-R has 180kw (250ps). The spec-S as i said is rated at 147fwkw but was dynoed at 154rwkw. I'll find the article and scan it for you if you want... |

| Im pretty sure that it was zoom. They were testing bolt on mods, and they had to dyno the car before they started out. |
