i have found this importers who will do an isuzu 2L piazza turbo half cut for $2800! but their fj20 turbo half cut is only $2000! why is this? i was thinking of staying in the isuzu family so that engine mounts don't have to be changed and so i don't need an engineers cert. can someone please help me out here. |

don't quote me, but FJ20's are more common than 2L Piazza's
therefore rare = expensive...

yeah i suppose. just seems weird because of difference in power and the like - oh well. might just go for that fj20 after all |

But you can pick-up a VN V6 at the auctions for $1000.00 with more grunt in stock trim the the FJ20, so more power doesn't mean more expensive. Supply and demand is what determines prices.
And before I get a thousand replies, no I wasn't saying put in a V6 over the FJ20, it was just a comparison on price! |

You'll still need an engineers certificate with the piazza, the price difference is because they are less common than the FJ. |

What's the FJ20 out of? The figure I heard for Piazzas was that there were only about 300 odd brought to Oz. |

Which is why he said that the Piazza was more expensive than an FJ20..... |

dude you have to engineers cert if ur engine is more than 15% larger than the original so in a gemini you are allowed 1840cc
and a maximum of 2.5 times the weight(of your car) for turbo
and 3 times the weight for naturally aspirated
and a gemini sedan is 960kg so work from that
if u don't believe me check out the rta site for light vehicles mods |

don't worry i believe you - i've done the reading in great detail. you can still do all the work yourself though - you just need to get an engineers cert afterwards |
