yeah ...
what's the difference between the petrol G-series bottom end and the Gemini diesel bottom end ?? The diesel engines must be a lot stonger ??? ie strengthened pistons, crank, ect ...
could you put a petrol head (say TX) on the diesel bottom end and have a factory spec engine capable or running boost from a turbo ??
i know nothing about the gemini diesel engines ... just a thought ... |

I don't think any of the gemini petrol heads would fit the Diesel block.I would assume the pistons for a diesel would be heavier and not suited to hi rpm either.
Any engine can run a turbo it is detonation that will kill the motor rather than hi compression ratio. I have a formula somewhere that shows the total comp ratio. For example 7:1 + say 10psi is similar to 10:1 and 5 psi boost
This example is not from the formula just my example. |
