yeah...
i got a G161 with 9.5:1 compression (that's what the reconditioner's said) ... what thickness decompression plate or copper head gasket do i need to lower the compression to 8:1 ??
do i still use a regular head gasket with a copper head gasket if i'm not o-ringing the top of the chambers ??
what are decompression plates made out of ?? copper, allumium, steel ??
will a thick copper head gasket take the place of a decomp plate and regular head gasket ?
nice. |

You're better off performance wise to get a larger chambered head like a 1600/1800 pollution head, or a 2 litre head.
If you go the decomp plate route, one thick copper gasket will cover it, but will be slightly more prone to detonation than a larger combustion chamber and standard composite gasket.
