i have a down draft webber and normal manifold and 9' aircleaner. there is a whisly suction air leak and i cant find it.
does anyone have any ideas? i want to find it befor i get it dyno tuned.

if it only makes a sound when u push down on the accelerator it is only the air filter sucking in air! |

Um, as fluid suggested to me under the post "update exhaust popping" run a bit of water around the gaskets between the carby and the head and check the brake booster and hose too. but if its idleing ok its probably not a vacuum leak. My dellortos whistle a bit too, but that is just the induction whistle of the air past the valves |

hmmm,
its a bit strange because it did it when i had a 1600 then it stopped when i put in the 2l but now its started again after i put on the worked head. ill check the inlet manifold i guess.
