is the value generally quoted as engine capacity the total volume of the cylinders or the total displacement of the pistons? |

capacity is the sweep of the pistons. ie bore x stroke.
Im sure in one of your earlier posts you claimed to be a mechanic. WTF? Or do i treat that claim the same as a lot of the other claims on this list?

Yep, turns out i was mistaken. IT was Fluid actually, in a post he made to your thread on Jul 11th.
