Some posted something a while ago about putting a starter relay in their TC which connects the battery directly to the starter motor. Where do the bits to do this come from? |

some of the TX an TC gems had bad wiring(20 odd years u would too!) and the starter gets affected. you need a relay positioned close to the starter motor. use the original starter start wire to actuate the relay , which should be running a decent size wire from the battery.that should get you out of trouble. hope thats a help to you! _________________

Yeah thanks. Just lookin at my jaycar catalogue, relays are cheap as chips. If it works, it'll he heaps cheaper than a new starter motor. |

If the problem is the wiring, then a new starter motor wont make any difference. The relay might help, prsuming the original crank wire going to the solenoid has enough voltage to trip the relay. |
