hey people how are you all.I just want to ask people about my car,what is happening is i accelerate in first and it goes but if i give it alot of acceleration it revs really high and it is like it in all 5 gears. i think it is the clutch plates but im not 1 hundred percent sure.if people could give me ideas that would be good thanx |

Sounds like a clutch problem to me.. dunno too much about RB gemi's so i guess take it to a mechanic if you cant replace em yourself, or if you can adjust em, try that.. but yeah, def. clutch |

clutch is rooted-mine did the same thing, cost $360 fitted about 2 years ago so you could reasonably assume that itd b more now.cheers,86sle |

hehe, my friend fucked the clutch in an alfa romeo, fucken $1600 to get done, coz alfa's have a sub frame that the engine sits on, and u can't take it out with normal tools. stupido eh,.

Your clutch pads are slipping against the pressure plate. Basically, the gearbox is not getting all the power from the engine, there is 'slippage'. Depending on how worn your pressure plate is, you might have to buy a whole new clutch, rather than just the pads. A whole clutch will set you back $120ish if you install it yourself. To install yourself you will need to take off the gearbox and remove the old clutch and install the new.
No idea how much it will cost at a garage because I never use them.
