i cant get the car to crank over,..

i ve put a new engine in and i cant get it 2 crank.
i think its the starter motor or the ignition coil ive tested the battery and all the wiring everything seems rite i think it mite be the igniton coil does any1 no wat it is or suggest what i can do?

have u connected the wire to the starter upprobaly?

anyway thanx mate ove fixed that problem coz the engine i have hasnt been cranked over 4 six months the car struggles and i made a mistake on taking the dizzy out. wat way should a dizzy face for a TE is there a cetrtain spot. coz its only like a flathead that goes in will the leads beeing in the rong place be the problem and wat way does the leads go i think its 1-3-4-2 but wat way around like a circle anti clockwise or in rows. thanx mate

the way the dizzy faces doesn't matter the timing order is 1-3-4-2 and goes anti clockwise round the dizzy.

to determine where no 1 lead goes, take out no 1 spark plug put your thumb over the hole and crank engine by hand until you feel compression. This is the compression stroke (just before TDC) which is what you time off.

Take off the dizzy cap and look at the rotor arm, the ignition terminal closest is lead no 1. hook up the rest of the leads in the right order and you should be able to start your car. See the workshop this is in there. Once running (probly ruff as guts) gett a timing light and set it properly
