i know its not legal to put a 2.6 turbo but is that the recomemded or is that meaning your not aloud to do it no matter how much engineering gets done on it?

It 'can' be fitted legally. It's just that you will have to know/use an engineer that will guide you onto the right path to ensure that all the legal requirements are met.
I'm not sure if Matty Spry has his 2.6 turbs regoed in QLD, but i have seen it street driven on a few occasions down at Broady car-park and near my work - never took any notice of the state on his number plate, just noticed HYPO4 in nice big writing.

well i saw the engine bay of a gem in brisbane that is being built at the moment and it has a 2.6 turbo rodeo in it and it is beautiful dunno if its gonna be regoed or not but it is one fine lookin car.
