bought mitchells 15s off him. Theyre now on my td panno. not gonna touch the car now till summer coz i'll have about $8000 then to spend on it and am gonna do it all at once instead of little tid bits here and there and not really getting anywhere. not sure on all details yet as im still shoppin round gettin quotes on sprayjobs engine work suspension brakes and everything fun. just wondering how much these days for an above average 2pac respray. my car is straight apart from needing a new door and having rust removed from around the w/screen. can anyone recomend any good crash shops in adelaide that are value for money and are good? good rep etc? cheers guys

I got my car sprayed by a mate at his crash shop, they specialise in prestige cars. Cos I knew him he offered to spray my car for cheap. I did ALL the prep.

He said normally that they don't touch any work under 6k for a full respray.

Remember once you start ripping the car back, you WILL find more rust. I bought my td wagon visibly rust free, upon stripping it back I still found the odd bit of rust that I needed to repair.

For a spray job, getting everything you have mentioned done I would say between 3-10k depending on how far you want to go.

My advice would be to try and find someone who works for themselves, perhaps an older gent who does work for spare $$$. This way you are going to get some attention paid to detail. If you go to a crash shop theres a half decent chance they might rush it or hand it off the the apprentice (depending on how much you pay of course!).

Painting is expensive these days.

Also, I would advise starting now Razz Seriously it takes fucking ages to rebuild a car.

I rebuilt my wagon from bare shell up, I started Oct last year and have been working like mad on it. It's taken longer than expected because you always run into things that will hold you up.

why does a car have to have 17"s?

15's are best for weight and handling in a small car. 17's are just for wank/rice factor

(yes i have 17's, but for the track i use/used 15's)

i'll reccomend Benjamin Crash for a nice sprayjob, good blokes there.

And as far as that person saying you wasted money on 15s i think thats bullshit, 15s are best in my opinion, there is nothing worse than an over-the-top rice gem, i laugh at cunts like that who think theyre top shit just coz they got 17s, i laugh even harder when i see a little sticker on theyre windscreen because of it!!

the revolving weight of a 17" rim is SHIT LOADS more than a 15 or even a 13"

yeah ive done my research and i thnk 17 are way over the top. i almost bought a pair of 16's, but for value for money 15's are good enough and tires are waay cheaper. they still make your car look tough, but AFTER ive done all the hard yards thats when you buy mental rims just for the finishing touch. These rims were just to satisfy my erge for a good look for the mean time ( a while nonethelees) thanx guys. by the way ive already bogged up a two holes the size of the grand canyon under my bumper and the rest of the car is sorta straight cheers. I'll go quote searching soon.
