the lock GOES in but i cant get the U shaped lock over the lock itself.
i dont wanna file it because it fits fine. |

just force it. takes a fare bit off force to get it on.
try the stock gemin lock clip 1st. will be looser. u can see how it goes on then use the solex one _________________

Another thing to get it down if its tight is using a long screwdriver to lever it down, you can bend it a bit, but the screwdriver should push it down fairly easily... And as gene said jus push it down a little one side, a little the other and it should go on... |

yeh i tried everything...
i did it easy in my old gem but this one is a bitch.
ive tried all clips even cut up a coat hanger to see if that was any better....
i can get one side of the u lock thing in there but then the other is just too hard to push down, even with needle nose pliers and drewscriver...
i just need to dedicate a whole day (5hours or so) to gettin it on. |

can you get someone on the other side of the lock to push it in towards the door??? that helped me when i put mine in.... |

hehe yeah those locks are cunts, i had to drill one out of that boot when it fucked out, maybe its been damaged _________________

What a c**t. I had to bend the metal rod a little bit but apart from that it went straight in.

I actually wound the window down and removed the rubber then got a flat screwdriver and you can push straight down on the U clip from the top, its piss easy that way. Otherwise you'll never get the force you need. |
