| assuming ur gem is stock, you'll need to get someone to fabricate a length of pipe to go from where your current air filter is to somewhere in the engine bay with enough room to fit a pod filter, which is what i think ur talking about. if i'm wrong someone will correct me. and yeah, they stock k&n filters at supacheap, they are only about $150 or so. |

hmmm silly boys  , nah what you do is just go to supercrap auto, and buy a sports filter, that is like the old one but it should let mroe air flow go into it. They should help you out if you get into trouble |

super cheap auto is fuct man, trust me I used to work there. and good luck finding anyone who actually has a clue about cars and is off their learners! Your best bet if you are going to change the filter is but either a Ram Flo filter (these can be dodgy though and catch on fire with the fumes from carby) or get a redline filter through autobarn or ET performance. I have an escort webber and a rectangular redline airfilter. If your car has emissions then you have to go for a high flow replacement filter like k&n etc in order to still be RW (if you care about that)
DODGY TIP OF THE DAY *** - tip the lid of your stock aircleaner upside down and bash the top so u can screw it back on and you will have a bit more airflow through the gap. |
